(MOROBO COUNTY) – The Office of the Commissioner of Morobo County in Central Equatoria State has expressed deep sorrow at the death of Rev. Canon Noah Awile Joseph of the Kuluba Clan. He passed away on the night of 10 November 2025 at 10:00 p.m. in Kampala.
According to the County Press Unit, Rev. Canon Noah Awile was a devoted servant of God in the Episcopal Church of South Sudan (ECSS). He served as a spiritual guide and was regarded as a pillar of faith and wisdom within the community.
During his tenure in the county legislative council, he made significant contributions to promoting peace and harmony in Morobo County.
His passing is felt deeply across the Kuluba Clan, the Episcopal Church congregation and the wider community. Local leaders described him as a mentor, guardian and a figure whose dedication to service and faith left a lasting impact.
The Office of the Commissioner has extended condolences to the bereaved family, the church and all members of the community mourning the loss.
Plans are underway to receive the late Rev. Canon Noah Awile Joseph’s body in Morobo for burial. Community members are preparing to honour his life of service, commitment to God, and contributions to society.
In expressing sympathy, the office cited the words of scripture:
“The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
They called for the community to remember and celebrate his life and dedication to peace and faith.
