
Emmanuel Christian University Applauds AIU Honour to Vice Chancellor
(YEI COUNTY) – Emmanuel Christian University (ECU) has announced the recognition of its Vice Chancellor, Mr. Daniel Felix Ohide, by Africa International University (AIU) as an Agent of Transformation.
The honour was featured in the October–November 2025 edition of the AIU Alumni Association Newsletter.
Mr. Ohide’s recognition celebrates his leadership, resilience and dedication to advancing education in South Sudan.
As the first Vice Chancellor of Emmanuel Christian University in Yei, he has guided the institution through years of growth and challenge, with a focus on building a strong foundation for faith based education and leadership development.
Before becoming Vice Chancellor, Mr. Ohide served as a lecturer, founding Head of the Education Department, and later Dean of Students.
His journey reflects years of hard work and a commitment to nurturing South Sudanese youth to become skilled, ethical and service minded leaders.
In its statement, Emmanuel Christian University expressed gratitude to Africa International University for its continuous role in developing Christ-centred leaders across the continent:
“This recognition is not only a personal milestone for our Vice Chancellor but also a reflection of the partnership between AIU and ECU,” said Mr. Lotiki A. Johnson, a representative of ECU.
He described AIU as a “mother of transformation” for many African institutions, noting its contribution to equipping leaders who bring light, peace, and purpose to their communities.
ECU reaffirmed its commitment to continue working with AIU in strengthening education, leadership training, and research. Both universities share the goal of promoting truth, integrity, and service through Christian based academic excellence.
The institution extended its gratitude to AIU for the honour, describing the recognition as an encouragement to continue building a new generation of godly and visionary leaders.
“To God be the glory. We are ECU,” the university said in its closing statement.
