(JUBA) – The South Sudan Paediatric Association held a lunch event to celebrate the completion of its first medical camp for children in Terekeka.
The gathering took place on Sunday at Jebel Teman in the home of Doctor Gawar in Juba. The event was held to mark the success of the project and to thank the professionals and supporters who worked to make it happen.
This celebration was used to recognise the hard work of the volunteers and staff members. It also aimed to build stronger connections among people working in the healthcare sector.
Those in attendance included specialist children’s doctors as well as guests from the Internal Medicine Association.
Leaders from the University of Juba College of Medicine Students Association and other partners also joined the event.
During the afternoon the group shared food and spoke about the positive results of the medical camp in Terekeka.
The association stated that the gathering was a chance to reflect on how their work has helped children. The publicity office for the association thanked Doctor Gawar and Doctor Aisha for hosting the group and expressed gratitude to everyone who continues to support their medical missions.
While the costs for the specific medical camp were not shared during the lunch, such health programmes require significant resources.
