(JUBA) – The National Examination Council has released the timetable for the 2025 Certificate of Primary Education examinations, confirming that 84,815 candidates have registered for the national tests.
At a press conference on Thursday, the Minister of General Education and Instruction, Dr Kuyok Abol Kuyok, said the examinations will run for five days from Monday 24 November to Friday 28 November 2025 in all approved centres across the country.
Candidates will begin with English on Monday, followed by Christian Religion Education on Tuesday. Science will be written on Wednesday, Social Studies on Thursday, and Mathematics will conclude the exam week on Friday.
A total of 84,815 learners are expected to sit the exams. Of these, 45,545 are boys, which is about fifty four percent, while 39,269 are girls, about forty six percent. The candidates come from 1,953 schools across 551 examination centres.
This year’s figure represents an increase of 15,535 candidates compared to last year’s 70,010, an increase of roughly eighteen percent.
The National Examination Council says preparations have been made to ensure the process is fair and well managed. Candidates are advised to report to their assigned centres with their admission slips and other required materials.
Officials say the release of the timetable is an important point in the education calendar, as it allows candidates to focus and prepare in the final weeks before the exams begin.
