Lainya County Shocked by Death of Executive Director

(LAINYA COUNTY) – The Commissioner of Lainya County, Hon. Robert John Morris Lasu, has expressed deep sorrow following the death of Mr. Clement Suma, the Executive Director of Lainya County, who passed away on Friday after a road accident.

According to a condolence message issued by the Commissioner’s office, Mr. Suma was involved in a fatal accident earlier in the day and succumbed to his injuries at Yei Civil Hospital.

The Commissioner described the incident as a tragic loss not only to the county administration but also to the entire community of Lainya.

Hon. Lasu said the late Suma was a committed public servant whose contribution to the local government and residents of Lainya County will be remembered with honour.

He noted that Mr. Suma’s death leaves a gap in the county administration and has deeply affected both colleagues and residents.

“The loss of Mr. Suma is a significant blow to the Lainya County administration and the community at large. His dedication and service to the county will be greatly missed,” the statement read.

The Commissioner extended condolences to the family, relatives, friends and colleagues of the late Mr. Suma, asking God to give them comfort and strength during this difficult time.

Mr. Suma had served as the Executive Director of Lainya County under the Central Equatoria State Local Government Council, where he was known for his active role in community administration and public service improvement.

At the time of reporting, funeral arrangements were underway, and county officials said more details would be shared in due course.
