(JUBA) – U.S. Embassy Suspends Routine Updates Amid Budget Lapse

The U.S. Embassy in Juba has announced that its social media accounts will not be updated regularly due to a lapse in federal appropriations. The embassy said updates will only be made for urgent safety or security information until normal operations resume.

Despite the funding pause, the embassy confirmed that scheduled passport and visa services in the United States and at U.S. embassies and consulates overseas will continue wherever possible.
