(TEREKEKA COUNTY) – Four Payams in Terekeka County and St Mary Immaculate Primary School have received new grinding mills and a generator as part of community support initiatives witnessed by senior state and county leaders.
The presentation took place in the presence of the Commissioner of Terekeka County, Hon Dr Emmanuel Loku Lodu, and several traditional chiefs including Sultan Machar Butis from Tali Payam, Mathew Buya from Tindilo Payam, and James Kenyi from Reggo Payam.
The donations included grinding mills to the Payams and a generator for the candidates of St Mary Immaculate Primary School. Leaders said the items were delivered to improve livelihoods and support education in the area.
Community chiefs welcomed the contributions and thanked the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Hon Lt Gen Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, together with the County Commissioner, for what they described as a clear sign of commitment to local development.
The beneficiaries included Tali, Tindilo, Reggo and Tombek Payams. Chiefs from these Payams said the grinding mills would ease household work for families, while the generator would help pupils at St Mary’s prepare for examinations in a better learning environment.
Residents said the delivery marked an important step towards development in Terekeka County, where communities continue to face challenges related to infrastructure, energy supply and access to basic services.
Officials from the office of the Governor said the support was part of wider efforts to build peace and improve living standards across Central Equatoria State.
