(TEREKEKA COUNTY) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel has donated a generator to St. Mary Primary School in Terekeka, saying the gesture is aimed at improving learning conditions for pupils.
Speaking during a ceremony on Monday, the Governor said the school had appealed for help, and he was pleased to provide the generator to ensure reliable power supply.
He explained that the support would make it easier for teachers and pupils to access electricity and create a better environment for education.
“This support is a response to a request from the school. It will help children learn in a setting where there is light and power for their studies.”
The Governor also handed over four grinding mills to the authorities of Terekeka County. The mills were first procured under the administration of former Governor Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani but had not been delivered to the intended beneficiaries.
Each of the four payams in Tombek, Reggo, Tindilo and Tali will now receive a grinding mill. According to the State Government Press Unit CESGPU, the mills are expected to ease household work, reduce post-harvest losses and improve community livelihoods.
