(JUBA) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Türkiye for their continued support towards development efforts in the state.
Governor Adil praised the Turkish Ambassador to South Sudan and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, known as TIKA, for their contributions to agriculture and rural development.
He said the partnership provides an opportunity for Central Equatoria to benefit from Türkiye’s expertise in modern farming practices and strengthen value chains for key crops such as coffee and cocoa.
The Turkish Ambassador highlighted the importance of implementing small-scale projects with direct benefits for farmers and rural communities.
Governor Adil also thanked the Turkish Ambassador for donating a four-wheel-drive Hilux vehicle to the State Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development.
According to the Governor, the vehicle will enhance the ministry’s ability to carry out field activities and engage more effectively with rural communities across the state.
He reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Türkiye to ensure the partnership delivers meaningful benefits to the people of Central Equatoria.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development, Emmanuel Khamis Richard.
