
Governor Adil Far ends and Turkey officials in a meeting at the State secretariate
(JUBA) – Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony and Türkiye’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Metin Ergin, have agreed to deepen development cooperation aimed at improving livelihoods and expanding investment across the state.
The discussions on Wednesday focused on support for key sectors including agriculture, health, education, water infrastructure and livestock. Priority areas include providing farming tools, constructing markets and fish storage facilities, drilling boreholes, and equipping health institutions. The Turkish delegation also expressed interest in supporting road construction and encouraging Turkish companies to invest in Central Equatoria.
Governor Adil described Türkiye as a valuable development partner and reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to strengthening cooperation for the benefit of local communities. Both sides pledged to transform the partnership into practical projects that support farmers, women’s groups and rural communities while advancing Central Equatoria’s broader development agenda.
