Housing Ministry Renamed in Central Equatoria

(JUBA) – Central Equatoria State has changed the name of its Ministry of Housing, Lands and Public Utilities to the Ministry of Roads, Bridges and Physical Infrastructure, following the formation of the caretaker government.

The change took effect as part of the restructuring of the state government under the caretaker administration. It reflects the revised ministerial portfolio and its focus on roads, bridges and physical infrastructure development.

The newly named ministry is expected to focus on road construction, bridge development, infrastructure planning and the improvement of physical infrastructure across Central Equatoria State.

The change also requires the ministry’s official identity, including its name and logo, to be updated across government communication platforms, official documents, digital services and public information materials.

The development comes as the caretaker government assumes responsibility for overseeing state affairs and advancing service delivery in key sectors.

The ministry said further details regarding its revised mandate, programmes and administrative arrangements would be communicated through its official channels.

The announcement was made by the press unit of the Ministry of Roads, Bridges and Physical Infrastructure in Central Equatoria State.
