(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – The Caretaker Commissioner of Yei River County, Emmanuel Taban Seme, has urged parents to closely guide and protect children attending examination preparation camps.
Commissioner Seme says examination camps can help learners prepare for their exams, but parents must ensure their children remain focused and stay in safe environments.
“Camping is not a bad idea, but parents must remain responsible for guiding and protecting their children. It is our duty to ensure that while our children prepare for examinations, they remain focused on their studies and stay in a safe environment,” Seme said.
He said children have the right to study and interact with others, but parents also have a responsibility to monitor their activities and provide proper guidance.
The Commissioner encouraged parents to remain actively involved in their children’s education and provide the support they need during the examination period.
He also urged students to take their studies seriously and use the available time to prepare adequately for their examinations as scheduled to commence next month.
The commissioner made remarks at a public event in Yei town over the weekend.
