
Mugwo Maternity Ward
(MUGWO PAYAM, YEI RIVER COUNTY) – Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has pledged support for the completion of a community-led maternity ward in Mugwo Payam, Yei River County.
Governor Adil made the commitment on Sunday during a stopover at Mugwo Primary Health Care Center while traveling from Morobo County to Yei as part of his ongoing county tour. He inspected the health facility and officially inaugurated the ongoing construction of the Mugwo Maternity Ward.
The Governor praised the local community for taking the initiative to improve health services and promised to support the roofing of the maternity ward upon his return to Juba.
“I appreciate the people of Mugwo for starting this important project. I will support the roofing of the maternity ward when I return to Juba.”
State Minister of Health, Honorable Joyce Bakwa Agole, also commended the community for its efforts and pledged to continue engaging state leadership to secure additional support for the completion of the facility.
The Governor was accompanied by several senior government officials, including ministers responsible for Local Government, Finance, Trade, Cooperatives, Health and Education.
The visit underscores the Central Equatoria State Government’s commitment to supporting community-driven development initiatives and expanding access to essential maternal healthcare services across the state.
