(JUBA COUNTY) – The Bank of South Sudan (BOSS) has issued a Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) for an experienced Individual Consultant to provide specialised services in the field of Risk Management and Compliance.
This consultancy aims to align the Bank’s Risk Management Framework with its current Strategic Plan and strengthen the institution’s ability to manage threats and disruptions. The assignment will run for a period of four months, with applications due by 15 August 2025 at 17:00 Central African Time (CAT).
The consultant will work closely with BOSS’s Risk and Compliance Department to modernise internal policies, develop a department-specific Risk Charter, design a Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework, and enhance the overall resilience of South Sudan’s central banking infrastructure.
Key responsibilities will include:
+Developing a comprehensive Risk Management Framework Guideline
+Conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments
+Reviewing existing risk policies and identifying Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
+Recommending appropriate risk appetite thresholds and mitigation strategies
+Facilitating training and awareness workshops for staff
+Preparing high-level reports and presentations for senior management
Consultant Profile
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:

| Certifications (at least one preferred) | CRISC, FRM, ERM, ISO 31000 or similar |
| Experience | Minimum 10 years in Risk Management, preferably in a Central Bank |
| Technical Skills | Proven record in risk frameworks, BCM, and stakeholder training |
| Communication | Strong facilitation and reporting skills |
