(Juba) – The Bank of South Sudan has released its official foreign exchange rates for Friday, June 20, 2025, showing a continued depreciation of the South Sudanese Pound (SSP) against major international currencies. These official rates, published every weekday, provide a reference for banks, businesses, and the general public on currency conversion.

According to the central bank’s figures, the South Sudanese Pound is trading at SSP 4,606.88 per US Dollar for selling and SSP 4,470.72 per US Dollar for buying. This means that 1 USD is equal to approximately 4,606.88 SSP, or conversely, SSP 20 billion equals roughly USD 4.34 million, based on the sell rate. These official rates are subject to fluctuations depending on market supply, demand, and transaction sizes.

The Euro (EUR) is quoted at SSP 5,290.55 (sell) and SSP 5,133.73 (buy), while the British Pound (GBP) is priced at SSP 6,195.34 (sell) and SSP 6,010.44 (buy). Regional currencies such as the Kenyan Shilling (KSH) and the Ugandan Shilling (UGX) are also included, with the Kenyan Shilling trading at SSP 35.73 (sell) and the Ugandan Shilling at SSP 1.28 (sell).
