Authorities in Yei River County officially announced the 2024 Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) results at the county headquarters on Monday.
County Commissioner Emmanuel Taban Seme, who officiated the announcement, expressed gratitude to education officials for their dedicated service to learners in Yei County.
Seme also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working hand-in-hand with the County Education Department to improve the quality of education in Yei River County.
According to the results presented by Deputy County Education Director Philip Taban Issa, a total of 1,537 candidates sat for the 2024 CPE exams. Of these, 846 were boys and 691 were girls.
Out of the boys, 710 passed, resulting in a pass rate of 46%, while 136 failed, accounting for a 9% failure rate. Among the girls, 534 passed, representing a 35% pass rate, while 157 failed, bringing the failure rate to 10%.
The Deputy Director urged teachers to adequately prepare learners for final examinations in order to improve performance in the upcoming academic year.
He also called on Payam Education Supervisors to diligently carry out their responsibilities on the ground.
This year, Royal Spirit International Primary School stood out among the top ten performing schools for both boys and girls in the 2024 Certificate of Primary Education results.
