
AMDISS Leads Media Stakeholders Forum in South Sudan
(JUBA) – The Association for Media Development in South Sudan (AMDISS), with support from NPA (Norwegian People’s Aid) South Sudan, has launched a two day Media Stakeholders Forum in Juba.
The event is being held under the theme “Promoting Freedom of Expression and Safeguarding Civic Space in South Sudan.”
The forum was officially opened by Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth, Minister of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services.
Participants include representatives from government ministries, the National Parliament, the Media Authority, National Security Service, South Sudan People’s Defence Forces, National Police Service, National Prison Service, National Communication Authority, Access to Information Commission, civil society organisations, journalists and media managers.
