(JUBA) – Comrade Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, Chairperson of the SPLM in Central Equatoria State, participated in a one day symposium organised by the SPLM National Secretariat in partnership with the Communist Party of China on 26 August 2025. The event focused on “Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and CPC’s Experience in State Governance.”
The symposium brought together senior SPLM dignitaries and members of both the National and State Secretariats. Presentations were delivered by Mr. Wang Wen, Deputy Dean at Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University, and Ms. Xue Li, Associate Professor at China Foreign Affairs University.
In his welcoming remarks, SPLM Secretary-General, Comrade Prof. Paul Lugali Jumi, emphasised China’s long standing friendship with South Sudan. He encouraged participants to study and adopt lessons from CPC’s governance experience. “Learning has no end, let us learn from our comrades in the CPC,” he said.
Huo Ying, Charge D’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Juba, reaffirmed China’s commitment to knowledge sharing to improve governance and diplomacy. He noted that cooperation between the CPC and SPLM continues to strengthen bilateral relations and foster development.
Mujung highlighted the importance of the SPLM-CPC partnership in promoting people centered development, effective governance and strong diplomatic ties. He said the lessons from China are particularly relevant for South Sudan as the country consolidates peace and builds institutions at both national and state levels.
Accompanying Comrade Mujung from the Central Equatoria State SPLM Secretariat were Comrade Laku Micah Wani, Assistant Secretary for Popular and Syndicated Organisation, and Comrade Lodu Gubek, Assistant Secretary for Training and Research.
