(JUBA/TEREKEKA) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State and Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in the state, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has donated ten motorcycles to party secretariats in Terekeka and Juba counties to support grassroots mobilisation and outreach activities.
The donation was made on Wednesday during a reception held at the SPLM State Secretariat in Juba, shortly after Mr Adil was sworn in as the new state chairperson of the party. Party officials said the support is aimed at improving movement and coordination, especially in areas that are difficult to access.
According to the SPLM State Secretariat, the motorcycles will help county secretariats reach local communities more easily as the party prepares for the planned national elections in 2026. The focus, officials said, is on strengthening engagement at community level across Central Equatoria State.
Mr Adil said the donation is part of wider efforts to empower party structures at the grassroots and to ensure that SPLM activities are carried out effectively in both urban and rural areas. He also pledged to provide additional motorcycles to other counties in the state in the coming period.
Party representatives said improved mobility will help maintain strong links between the SPLM leadership and its supporters, while also supporting regular party programmes and outreach activities across all counties.
