(Juba) – Members of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in Lainya County have pledged their support to the newly appointed Governor of Central Equatoria State, Rabi Mujung Emmanuel.
The delegation led by Hon. Robert John Lasu, the interim SPLM Chairperson in Lainya, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor on 30 June 2025 in Juba to formally congratulate him and show solidarity following his appointment.
During the meeting, Governor Mujung welcomed the SPLM members and expressed appreciation for their visit.
He used the occasion to highlight the importance of unity within the party, urging SPLM members to work together in order to strengthen the party’s presence across all levels of society.
He also stressed the need for greater participation by members at the grassroots level in line with the party’s national vision.
The SPLM delegation reiterated their full support for the Governor and his leadership. They said they were committed to working closely with him in implementing party programmes and enhancing the role of SPLM in addressing community needs.
The team also agreed on the value of party cohesion at a time when the SPLM is seeking to consolidate its influence in Central Equatoria State.
