(JUBA) – The Goduk Clan Association of Lainya County has expressed support for the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, following his recent reappointment. The group said his continued leadership comes at an important moment for communities seeking peace, unity and development across the state.
In a statement made during a visit on Wednesday, the association congratulated the Governor and said his return to office offers renewed hope for resolving serious local challenges. These include land disputes and the presence of roaming cattle keepers, which have caused tension in several areas, including Lukurubang Boma in Lainya Payam.
Members of the association said they were confident that Governor Adil’s leadership would help guide efforts to ease these pressures and improve security for residents of Lainya County and neighbouring areas.
Governor Adil welcomed the delegation and thanked them for their continued trust. He encouraged them to promote peace within their communities and to work closely with authorities to reduce conflict. He said stability in Lainya and the wider region depends on cooperation between community leaders, citizens and the state government.
The Governor added that peace building must involve everyone and called on the association to play an active role in spreading messages of calm and unity. He said the state remains committed to helping communities overcome local disputes and work towards long term development.
According to statement from the State Press Unit CESGPU, the meeting closed with both sides affirming their wish to see stronger relations between communities and state institutions as efforts continue to restore lasting peace in Central Equatoria State.
