(KAJO-KEJI COUNTY) – The Caretaker Commissioner of Kajo-Keji County, Charles Laku Losio Yensuk, has called on communities and stakeholders across Greater Yei to embrace peace, unity and reconciliation as foundations for development and economic recovery.
The Commissioner made the appeal while opening a one-day capacity-building workshop on monitoring and evaluation, trauma healing and economic recovery, supported by the Faith Development and Relief Agency, FADRA in Kajo-Keji’s Wudu town on Thursday.
He urged participants to use the knowledge gained from the workshop to promote reconciliation, rebuild trust and strengthen peaceful coexistence in their communities.
The Commissioner also stressed the importance of trauma-sensitive peacebuilding, evidence-based monitoring and sustainable economic recovery in addressing challenges facing communities across Greater Yei.
He called on community leaders, residents and other stakeholders to work together, saying lasting peace and development require collective responsibility and cooperation.
