(CESGPU, Juba) – His Grace Elias Taban, Archbishop of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), paid a courtesy visit on Friday to the newly appointed Governor of Central Equatoria State, Lieutenant General Rabi Mujung Emmanuel. The meeting took place at the State Government Secretariat in Juba.
The visit was described as a gesture of goodwill and solidarity. Archbishop Taban offered personal congratulations to Governor Mujung on his recent appointment and expressed the Church’s willingness to support the state leadership in promoting peace, unity, and development.
During their meeting, the Archbishop and the Governor held productive discussions on the importance of close collaboration between the Church and the state government. Both leaders agreed that such partnerships are key to enhancing service delivery and ensuring social stability across the region.
Archbishop Taban used the opportunity to offer words of encouragement and spiritual support to Governor Mujung. He prayed for wisdom, strength, and guidance as the new Governor assumes his responsibilities.
