(Juba) – The media fraternity in South Sudan is mourning the death of veteran journalist John Wani, a respected broadcaster and one of the founding members of Radio Miraya. His passing was announced with sorrow by colleagues who described him as a voice of integrity and purpose.
John Wani began his service at Radio Miraya in 2005, when the station was launched in Khartoum, Sudan. He worked as an Arabic news anchor and reporter, becoming a familiar voice to listeners across the region. His long and distinguished media career spanned over 40 years, earning him recognition for his professionalism and commitment to public service journalism.
