
Late Eresto Taban
(JUBA / LAINYA COUNTY ) – Messages of condolence continue to pour in following the passing of Hon. Eresto Taban Luate, a former Commissioner of Lainya County during the defunct Yei River State and a serving member of the Central Equatoria State Land Commission.
In a condolence message issued on Monday by the office of the state governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, leaders and community members described Hon. Luate as a dedicated public servant who faithfully served the people of Lainya County and Central Equatoria State with commitment, courage and integrity.
Until his passing, Hon. Luate was a member of the State Land Commission and an active member of the SPLM Veterans League in Lainya County.
Tributes highlighted his years of service and contribution to public administration, noting that his leadership left a lasting impact on the communities he represented.
“Public service is ultimately measured by the lives touched, the responsibilities carried, and the memories left behind,” the condolence message stated, adding that Hon. Luate’s service formed part of the shared history of the people of Lainya County and Central Equatoria State.
His death has been described as a significant loss to his family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and the wider community.
