
South Sudan Mourns MP Scopas Taban Lo Kabang/Handout Photo
(JUBA) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State has expressed deep sorrow following the death of Scopas Taban Lo Kabang, the Member of Parliament for Kajo Keji County in the Revitalised Transitional National Legislative Assembly.
In a message issued on behalf of the state government and the people of Central Equatoria, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony offered condolences to the late MP’s family, relatives, friends and the wider community of Kajo Keji County. He described the news as tragic for both the county and the country.
The Governor said the late Taban was known for his calm manner and strong commitment to public service. He said the MP devoted his time to his role in Parliament and worked closely with local communities to support development and improve lives. His work at the grassroots was noted for its focus on strengthening community resilience and promoting unity.
The state government said his absence will be felt across Central Equatoria and especially in Kajo Keji County, where he was recognised for his active engagement with citizens and his interest in addressing local concerns.
Prayers were offered for comfort for the family and for the peaceful rest of the late MP.
