
Tributes Follow Death of Peter Phanuel Yata/PHOTO CREDITS: Office of the State Governor
(JUBA) – The Government of Central Equatoria State has announced the death of Hon Peter Phanuel Yata, describing his passing as a significant loss to the state and to public service in South Sudan.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, said he was deeply saddened by the untimely death of Hon Yata. He praised the late leader for his long standing dedication to public service and his contributions to governance and development in the state.
Governor Adil said Hon Yata served Central Equatoria State in various portfolios and demonstrated commitment, wisdom and leadership throughout his career. He noted that Yata’s work helped shape the foundations of the state during a critical period in its development.
According to the message, the government and people of Central Equatoria State are grateful for the role Hon Yata played in strengthening public institutions and promoting effective administration. The Governor said his leadership and guidance left a lasting impact that will continue to influence future generations of public servants.
The statement added that while Hon Yata’s death is a painful loss to his family, friends and colleagues, his legacy in public service will be remembered across the state. The Governor extended condolences to the bereaved family and all those affected by his passing.
The Government of Central Equatoria State called on citizens to honour the late leader’s memory by upholding the values of service, responsibility and dedication to the public good that he stood for.
Governor Adil concluded the message by wishing Hon Peter Phanuel Yata eternal peace and offering prayers and support to his family during the period of mourning.
