Pyramid Hotel to Host 10th South Sudan Fashion Week/Handout
(JUBA) – South Sudan Fashion Week will mark its 10th edition on 2nd August 2025 at the Pyramid Continental Hotel in Juba. The event, running from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, celebrates ten editions of showcasing style, culture and creativity and reflects a growing influence of South Sudanese fashion both locally and internationally.
Despite only holding ten editions over the past 16 years, South Sudan Fashion Week has had a significant impact on the country’s creative and fashion industries. It has helped shape a new generation of designers and opened up international modelling opportunities for South Sudanese talent.
According to organisers, over 50 models who graced the South Sudan Fashion Week runway have gone on to make their international debuts, with some now achieving notable success globally.
The increasing global visibility of South Sudanese models and designers was recently highlighted in a feature by the BBC, which recognised South Sudan Fashion Week as a key platform for talent development and exposure.
Last year, the event gained further recognition when South Sudan joined the BRICS Fashion Federation and the African Fashion Federation through the South Sudan Fashion Week.
These memberships have opened new doors for local designers, providing access to wider markets, international collaborations and enhanced visibility for South Sudan’s fashion industry.
The 10th edition promises a vibrant showcase of both South Sudanese and regional designers. Highlights include designer competitions, fashion awards and a cocktail party. The event aims to blend style and celebration as it looks back on a decade of fashion and forward to the future of South Sudan’s growing industry.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale. Attendees can also participate in designer voting and access more information through the official website.
Ticket prices and details were not yet disclosed by the organisers, but typical previous events have offered tiered pricing to make the event relatively affordable for fashion lovers in Juba.
Organisers are encouraging the public to support South Sudan’s creative industries by attending and celebrating the achievements made over the past decade as the ten day countdown to August begins.
