Angebi Community Congratulates Africano Mande on Ministerial Appointment

(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – The leadership and people of the Angebi Community in Tore Payam have congratulated Hon. Gen. Africano Mande Gedima on his appointment as the Minister of Presidential Affairs in the Office of the President of the Republic of South Sudan.

In a message dated 4 November 2025, the community, represented by Yoasa Matatias, Secretary General of the Angebi Community Association (ACA), expressed deep appreciation to President Salva Kiir Mayardit for entrusting Gen. Mande with one of the country’s key ministerial portfolios.

The message described the appointment as a reflection of Gen. Mande’s long service, discipline and dedication to the people of South Sudan. It praised his integrity, humility, and experience both in the military and in public administration.

“The leadership of the Angebi Community, Baka Boma, Tore Payam, and the people convey profound gratitude to His Excellency Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit for the trust and confidence bestowed upon you,” the message stated.

The community expressed confidence that Gen. Mande’s new role will strengthen the President’s ongoing efforts toward peace, stability, and development across the nation.

“Your appointment is a testament to your unwavering commitment to serve. We are confident that you will continue to support the President’s vision of national unity and progress,” the letter added.

The message concluded with words of blessing and goodwill for Gen. Mande’s success in his new assignment, assuring him of the community’s continuous prayers and moral support.

The letter was officially signed and stamped by the Angebi Community Association in Tore Payam, Yei River County, Central Equatoria State, on 4 November 2025.
