(Juba) – Equity Bank South Sudan has informed its customers of a temporary service interruption that will affect card transactions due to planned system maintenance. The disruption is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. local time.
In a customer notice issued on Friday this week, the bank explained that the scheduled maintenance will briefly affect Equity Cards. However, other banking services including the Equity Mobile App, Online Banking, EazzyBiz platform, and the USSD code *247# will continue to operate normally during the one-hour window.
The bank apologized for any inconvenience this interruption may cause and assured customers that the maintenance is essential to improve service efficiency and system performance.
Additionally, the bank reminded customers to be vigilant against fraud and scams. It stressed that Equity communicates with customers only through its official phone number: +211 916 986 000. The bank also emphasized that it will never request sensitive banking information such as passwords, PINs, OTPs (One-Time Passwords), or card details through phone calls or text messages.
Equity urged customers to avoid sharing any personal or financial information with anyone posing as a bank representative.
