(Juba) – MTN South Sudan held its first town hall meeting with newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Mapula Bodibe, in an event that highlighted the company’s strategic direction and commitment to digital inclusion across the country. The internal meeting brought together staff members from various departments, providing a platform to engage directly with the CEO, share ideas, and align with the company’s long-term goals.
During the session, Ms. Bodibe laid out her vision for MTN South Sudan, focusing on connecting every South Sudanese through digital technology and bridging the digital divide. She emphasized that MTN’s mission goes beyond providing telecom services and includes using technology as a tool for transformation and progress in communities.
The CEO outlined key priorities in her strategic roadmap, including expanding internet access, promoting mobile financial services, and supporting digital literacy initiatives. She encouraged staff to see themselves as contributors to national development by enabling people to connect, learn, and grow through MTN’s platforms.
Employees described the session as motivational and energizing. Many welcomed the opportunity to interact directly with company leadership and described the CEO’s message as timely and inspiring. The theme of the gathering “One Team, One Mission” reinforced a sense of unity and shared purpose across the organization.
MTN South Sudan has recently carried out several community outreach programs under its #YelloCare2025 campaign, including digital literacy training in Sherikat and the establishment of a tech hub at Mangateen IDP camp.
