(LETTER: By: Emmanuel Khamis Peter) – I wish to extend my deepest appreciation to Access Radio for the remarkable work it continues to do in Yei River County. As a leading, innovative, youth-led radio station, Access Radio has become a trusted voice for grassroots communities, ensuring that timely and accurate information reaches people who often have limited access to other forms of communication.
I commend the station for its invaluable role in creating platforms for constructive dialogue, community sensitization, and peace advocacy. By providing space for citizens to express their views, Access Radio has strengthened social cohesion, promoted tolerance, and empowered young people to take an active role in shaping the future of Yei.
I also recognize the broader importance of radio in community growth and development. In areas where literacy levels are low and infrastructure remains limited, radio continues to be one of the most effective tools for education, awareness, and mobilization. Access Radio has effectively utilized this platform to:
- Educate communities on health, peace, and governance;
- Promote youth innovation and creativity by amplifying their voices and talents;
- Support peacebuilding efforts through programs that encourage dialogue and reconciliation;
- Advance development by informing citizens about opportunities, services, and community initiatives.
Access Radio stands as a beacon of hope, progress, and unity in Yei River County. Its commitment to truth, innovation, and community service has not only informed but also inspired the people it serves.
On behalf of the youth of Yei, and on my own behalf, I sincerely thank Access Radio for its service, leadership, and dedication to peace and development. May the station continue to grow as a trusted voice and a driver of positive change in our society.
