(JAIPUR) – South Sudan’s Evaline Neim Mohammed Salleh has been crowned Miss Ocean World 2025 at the international beauty pageant held at Grassfield Valley on Delhi Road, Jaipur, India. The event, which ran from 15 to 24 August, brought together contestants from 20 countries under the theme “Clean and Pollution Free Ocean.”
Evaline’s victory marks a historic achievement for South Sudan on the global stage, with India’s Parul Singh taking the first runner-up title. Nicole Slynkova from the Czech Republic, Kurara Shigeta from Japan, and Angelika Magdalena Feicht from Poland followed as the second, third, and fourth runner-up winners respectively.
The pageant, organised by the Fusion Group, is recognised among the world’s top ten international beauty contests. It combined glamour with advocacy for ocean conservation, cultural exchange, and tourism promotion. For many observers, Evaline’s win demonstrates the growing presence of South Sudanese talent and cultural identity in international arenas.
Yogesh Mishra, Founder Director of Fusion Group, described the moment as a source of pride:
“Hosting a globally recognised beauty pageant in Jaipur highlights the city’s importance as a venue for cultural and environmental dialogue. The competition celebrates beauty while also reinforcing the urgent need to protect our oceans.”
The grand finale drew an audience that included notable figures such as Dr Jagdish Chandra, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat 24, Pandit Suresh Mishra, President of Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha and BJP leader, and philanthropist Conductla Siddhu Reddy. The judging panel featured Laura Hudson, former Miss Ocean World Alisa Miskovska, Angul Zharipova, Dr Aishwarya, Ekta Jain, Siddhu Reddy, Rahul Taneja, and Divyanshi Bansal.
Over the course of nine days, contestants took part in a series of competitions including gown and swimsuit rounds, alongside an environmental advocacy session that tested their ability to address global ecological issues. The opening sequence showcased dresses designed by students of Kamla Poddar Institute, while the crown-passing ceremony by former title holder Alisa Miskovska offered a symbolic highlight of the evening.
The pageant was choreographed by Shahrukh Khan, with makeup directed by Jassi Chhabra of Shades Salon and presentation hosted by Rakesh Sharma. International coordinators Yogesh Mishra and Nimisha Mishra oversaw the event, which was widely praised for its seamless organisation and cultural richness.
The environmental focus remained central throughout. Contestants staged photoshoots and presentations advocating for a cleaner, pollution free ocean, while also sharing elements of their national heritage to strengthen international understanding.
“The dedication of these young women to promoting ocean conservation was truly inspiring,” Mishra noted.
As Miss Ocean World 2025, the beauty queen will now use her position to advocate for environmental awareness and to represent both her country and global ocean conservation initiatives.
