(JUBA)– Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has on Tuesday returned to Juba after concluding a tour of Lainya, Yei River, and Morobo counties, as well as Wonduruba Administrative Payam.
Upon his arrival in Juba, Governor Adil was received by the Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, Paulino Lokudu Obede, alongside senior state government officials.
According to the Office of the Governor, the tour aimed to strengthen engagement with local communities, assess development priorities, promote peace and security, and mobilise support for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) ahead of the December elections.
During the visit, the Governor met with local leaders, community representatives, and government officials to discuss key challenges facing residents and identify opportunities for development across the state.
State authorities described the tour as successful, noting that it provided an important platform for direct interaction between the state leadership and communities, while reinforcing the government’s commitment to peace, stability, and service delivery.
The tour forms part of ongoing efforts by the state government to address community concerns, advance development initiatives, and encourage citizen participation in the state’s political and governance processes.
