Squad Changes Announced by Yei Joint Stars

(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – Yei Joint Stars Football Club has confirmed that it will release nine players during the current season as part of its ongoing recruitment and club engagement plans.

In an official clarification issued on 30 December 2025, the club management said the decision is aimed at improving squad balance and creating room for new talent ahead of the upcoming transfer period. The statement did not provide reasons linked to individual players, noting that the changes form part of a broader club strategy.

The club said the names of the players being released will be announced publicly later in the transfer season. According to the statement, all nine players have already been contacted individually and informed of the decision in line with the club’s policies and regulations.

Yei Joint Stars FC also confirmed that discussions are underway with other football clubs within South Sudan regarding possible short term loan arrangements. The club said these talks are intended to allow some of the affected players to gain more playing time and continue their development.
