Local Leadership Battles Crime in Yei
(OPINION/Thomas Muto) – Congratulations to Emmanuel Taban Seme, Commissioner of Yei River County, and your entire team for your courage and vigilance in raising the alarm against criminal elements seeking to destabilise our community.
Yei is not a home for criminals. Yei is a land of peace, resilience and vision. The people of Yei are neither thieves nor agents of insecurity. We are farmers, entrepreneurs, young innovators, mothers, elders and nation builders with a strong developmental mindset.
Those who attempt to drag our county backward through violence and fear must know that we reject insecurity in all its forms. We will not allow a few individuals to tarnish the name and reputation of our peaceful community.
As citizens, we stand firmly behind your leadership in safeguarding the future of Yei, protecting our resources, and ensuring stability for generations to come. Security is the foundation of development and development is the path to dignity and prosperity.
Together, we will defend our county. Together, we will promote peace. Together, we will build a stronger, safer Yei.
