
Yei County Chief Visits Mugwo Market/PHOTO CREDITS: County Press
(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – The Commissioner of Yei River County, Hon. Emmanuel Taban Seme, on Saturday visited Mugwo Payam where he toured Mugwo Market and met traders and local business operators.
The visit was aimed at assessing the general condition of the market, hearing concerns from traders and identifying practical steps to improve service delivery and economic activity in the Payam.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Director of Mugwo Payam, local chiefs and other Payam authorities.
During the meeting with traders, Hon. Seme said markets remain central to the local economy and play an important role in supporting household incomes and food security across Yei River County.
He said the county administration would strengthen cooperation with traditional leaders and local officials to maintain a safe and suitable environment for trade.
He urged traders to follow the law, keep the market clean and promote peaceful coexistence as business activities continue to grow.
The Office of the Commissioner said it remains committed to inclusive leadership, transparency and regular engagement with communities as part of efforts to support development across all Payams of Yei River County.
