Gunmen Kill Morobo Resident During Night Attack

(MOROBO COUNTY) – Armed gunmen shot and killed a local resident on the outskirts of Morobo Town in Central Equatoria sate during a violent night attack on Wednesday.

The victim was 21 year old Bidali Emmanuel, who was killed shortly before midnight after he left his room to investigate suspicious noises in his neighborhood.

Local witnesses and family members believe the attackers were armed criminals attempting to raid cattle in the area. The gunmen fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

Following the crime, Commissioner Charles Data Bullen held an urgent meeting with the heads of all security departments to discuss the rise in armed violence.

The Commissioner has now ordered security forces to stay on high alert to prevent further criminal activity. He told the public that the government is committed to finding those responsible and stopping groups that target innocent people. Local leaders are also asking residents to report any information about the gunmen to the police.
