(JUBA / YEI ) -The Chairperson of the Yei River County Youth Association Gaga Frank Justine, has announced plans to establish a multipurpose youth center in Yei Town aimed at addressing challenges facing young people.
Speaking during a meeting with the Central Equatoria State Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in Juba on Monday, Gaga said the proposed center will serve as a hub for empowering youth through vocational training, agribusiness, sports and cultural activities.
“The association outlined plans to establish a youth multipurpose center, acquire bikes, and develop agricultural schemes to empower youth in Yei,” he said.
According to Gaga, the initiative is part of broader efforts to engage young people in productive activities and steer them away from gang-related behavior while helping them realize their full potential.
During the meeting, Gaga also extended congratulations to Bush Buse on his recent appointment as Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in Central Equatoria State. He expressed confidence in Buse’s leadership, noting that the youth have full trust in his ability to deliver.
Gaga further conveyed appreciation to Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony and President Salva Kiir Mayardit for entrusting Buse with the role.
In response, Buse welcomed the delegation and pledged to work closely with the state government, partners, and youth groups to expand opportunities in vocational training, agriculture, sports and cultural development.
He emphasized his commitment to fostering initiatives that will benefit both young people and the wider community in Central Equatoria State.
