
Mujung, Wek Discuss Cross-State Development Plans/Photo: Central Equatoria State Government Press Unit
(CESGPU, Juba) – The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, received the Governor of Warrap State, Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, on Monday in Juba.
The courtesy visit was aimed at identifying areas of collaboration and improving cooperation between the two South Sudanese states.
The two leaders held discussions that focused on shared priorities such as strengthening security cooperation, promoting peace and reconciliation, supporting inter state trade and encouraging cultural exchange programmes.
These initiatives are intended to build unity and enhance social and economic progress in both regions.
Governor Mujung and Governor Wek expressed a mutual willingness to work together in addressing issues that affect their communities.
They agreed on the importance of sharing ideas and aligning their development efforts to meet common goals.
Both governors acknowledged and thanked President Salva Kiir Mayardit for their appointments, emphasising the importance of executing the president’s instructions, particularly in the areas of public service delivery and maintaining peace.
The meeting also touched on political coordination, with the two leaders discussing ways to strengthen the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in their respective states.
They noted that preparing the population for the upcoming 2026 elections would be a critical part of their joint efforts.

In a related gesture of goodwill, traditional chiefs from Warrap State delivered a congratulatory message to newly appointed Central Equatoria Governor.
