
(Juba) – General Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, the former Governor of Central Equatoria State, has publicly expressed his gratitude to President Salva Kiir Mayardit for entrusting him with leadership during a critical period in South Sudan’s path to peace and development.
In a formal message dated June 17, 2025, Gen. Jadalla acknowledged the honor of serving under President Kiir’s leadership, stating that he carried out his responsibilities with humility and a deep sense of duty. He praised the President’s vision, emphasizing the progress made during his time in office and the strong foundation now laid for the future of Central Equatoria State.
The former governor also extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Governor, Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel. Jadalla expressed confidence in his successor’s ability to advance the goals of the state in line with national priorities. He described the people of Central Equatoria as resilient and ready for the next chapter under new leadership.
Jadalla reaffirmed his loyalty to the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and reiterated his continued support for President Kiir’s efforts to strengthen peace, unity, and national development across the country. He concluded by thanking the President once again for the opportunity to serve and offered a message of national pride and solidarity.
There was no mention of specific policy achievements or future political plans by the former governor.
