(JUBA) – The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) has welcomed Hon. Natalina Amjima Malek back to its ranks after she resigned from the South Sudan Patriotic Movement (SSPM) and the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA).
Hon. Amjima is a former member of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA).
She was formally received by the SPLM Secretary for Political Affairs, Mobilization and Organization, Cde. Amb. John Andurga Duku.
Her joining, the party said, reflects growing national consensus and public confidence in the SPLM as the main political vehicle capable of delivering stability, development and lasting unity across South Sudan.
Claiming to be guided by the will and political aspirations of her community, Hon. Amjima said her decision directly answers her constituents’ call to unite under the SPLM banner.
She said joining the party provides the most effective and strong platform to advance her community’s interests while contributing to the country’s broader democratic and political development.
Reaffirming her total commitment to the movement, Hon. Amjima pledged her full dedication to the leadership of H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan and Chairman of the SPLM.
She said she was determined to work shoulder to shoulder with the leadership to achieve the movement’s strategic goals.
She added that her priority remains unwavering service to her people and the national interest.
While expressing her appreciation to H.E. Hussein Abdelbagi Akol and the SSOA leadership for their past cooperation, Hon. Amjima said her transition marks a renewed commitment to peace, unity and national prosperity.
Welcoming her into the fold, Cde. Amb. John Andurga Duku said the gates of the SPLM are open to all the people of South Sudan who want to join in building a better country grounded in unity, equality and progress.
