(JUBA) -South Sudan and the United States have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation on key areas of mutual interest.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Honorable Ambassador Dr. James Pitia Morgan, held talks with the United States Ambassador to South Sudan, His Excellency Michael J. Adler on Thursday.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries and preparations for the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.
The discussions also covered issues of mutual concern, including Ebola preparedness, the restoration of travel arrangements, and other shared priorities.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustained engagement, constructive dialogue, and continued partnership between the Republic of South Sudan and the United States of America.
The meeting comes as the two countries continue to collaborate on diplomatic, humanitarian, and development issues aimed at promoting stability and cooperation.
