(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – Atlabara FC has kicked off a community clean up campaign in Yei that is set to become a weekly routine, with residents now called to join every Saturday.
The “Keep Yei Clean” campaign got under way with club management, players and several well known local figures taking part.
Those who joined the launch included Dominic Leaving Wawa, Gaga Frank, Isaac and Pro Pai Pai.
Their involvement helped spread the message and encouraged residents to take pride in keeping their surroundings clean.
According to an announcement online by Atlabara Football Club, the clean up will now take place every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM as an ongoing push to make Yei Town cleaner, healthier and more attractive.

The meeting point is NPA Roundabout. The club has invited all community members, football fans, youth groups and well wishers who believe in voluntary community service to take part.
Team Leader Godigoda Moses said every contribution, no matter how small, would help keep the town clean and inspire others to do the same.
“We look forward to working hand in hand with you for a cleaner Yei,” Mr Moses said in an online announcement.
The club stated that the voluntary clean up activity would now be a standing event held every Saturday.
