Yei Football Association Holds Successful Assembly to Plan New Season

(YEI COUNTY) – The Yei Football Association has successfully held its Ordinary General Assembly at New Tokyo Hotel, bringing together representatives from all clubs under its structure, members of the Executive and the Board of Directors.

Opening the session, the President of the Association, Mr Moro Alex Peter, thanked delegates for their participation. He said the Assembly offers an important platform to discuss matters affecting football in Greater Yei and to agree on practical ways forward.

He encouraged clubs to engage with the Association more frequently by visiting its offices with concerns instead of waiting until the next Assembly.

The Director of Youth and Sports for Yei River County, Mr Clement Benerd, praised the leadership of the Association. He said that in his experience working with the body, he had never seen a more organised executive committee than the current one.

He officially opened the meeting, noting that football in Yei is a source of community pride and an avenue for unity.

During the session, delegates reviewed and passed the Activity Report and the Financial Report, with agreed amendments. They also approved the budget for the upcoming football season.

The budget covers the South Sudan Cup as well as the First and Second Division leagues for both men and women.

The Assembly concluded with the adoption of several resolutions. Officials confirmed that full details of these decisions will be shared with the public in the Association’s next communication.

Leaders said the Assembly marked a new step in preparing for a stronger football season in Yei and called on all stakeholders, from clubs to community members, to support the growth of the sport in the county.
