(YEI RIVER COUNTY) – The Yei Football Association has issued a final notice to all affiliated clubs to confirm their delegates ahead of the Ordinary General Assembly scheduled for Saturday, 20 September 2025, in Yei, Central Equatoria State.
According to the Association, First Division clubs are required to send two representatives each, while Second Division clubs are expected to send one representative. The Secretariat has set a 24 hour deadline for clubs that have not yet submitted names, warning that those failing to do so will not be allowed to participate in the meeting.
The notice follows an earlier circular dated 4 September 2025, in which the Association directed clubs to submit their delegate lists by 15 September. The final reminder comes after concerns that some clubs had not complied with the initial instruction.
The meeting is being organised under Articles 4 and 5 of the Local Football Association Statutes of 2012, as amended, which provide for regular sessions of the General Assembly. The Assembly is the highest decision making body within the Yei Football Association and brings together all affiliated clubs to discuss key matters affecting the sport in Yei River County.
Officials say details of the agenda and the venue will be announced to club representatives before the meeting date. The Secretary General of the Association, Isaac Mamur Scop, signed the official notification, calling on clubs to ensure full representation.
The Yei Football Association, based in Hai Gabat behind the Yei County Judiciary offices, plays a central role in organising local football competitions and developing talent at both the First and Second Division levels.
According to a press release, the upcoming Assembly will be crucial in shaping the direction of football in the county at a time when youth sports continue to gain importance in South Sudan.
A contact list has been made available for club secretaries to follow up with the Association. The Secretariat has urged punctuality and cooperation, emphasising that the success of the General Assembly depends on the commitment of all clubs.
Delegate Requirements Table:
| Division | Number of Delegates Required |
|---|---|
| First Division | 2 per club |

The Assembly is expected to provide a platform for discussing administrative issues, competition structures and future development plans for local football.
