Yei Football Association Sets New Season Rules Ahead of South Sudan Cup

(YEI COUNTY) – The Yei Football Association has confirmed a series of resolutions from its Ordinary General Assembly held this week at New Tokyo Hotel, setting the direction for the upcoming football season in Greater Yei.

Delegates unanimously agreed to adopt a new official logo for the Association. The logo is expected to strengthen the Association’s identity and will be officially unveiled in the coming days.

In one of the main decisions, the Assembly confirmed that the 2025 Yei Super Cup will be played on Sunday, 27 September 2025. The opening fixture will see Atlabara FC take on Mission FC in what is expected to be a competitive match.

The Assembly also finalised relegation decisions. Al Hilal FC and Yei United FC have both been demoted to the Second Division after finishing at the bottom of the table last season.

Attention now turns to the South Sudan Cup, which is set to begin on Saturday, 4 October 2025. The official draws for the competition will take place at Youth Garden on Wednesday, 24 September 2025 at 4:00pm.

All clubs wishing to participate in the Cup have been instructed to send official confirmation letters to the Association. These letters must include a 30 man squad list, details of the technical team and the registered home and away kits for the season.

In addition, the Association has directed that all players must hold valid club identity cards issued by the Association before the Cup begins. Officials say this measure will help maintain order and fairness during the tournament.

The leadership of Yei Football Association said the resolutions are aimed at strengthening football in the region and called on all stakeholders, from club managers to fans, to cooperate in making the season successful in a statement released on its online communication platforms.
