EBC TV Now Available for Free on Digital Channel in South Sudan

(JUBA) – South One Digital TV has announced that Equator Broadcasting Corporation Television is now officially available on its platform as part of its Free To Air channels, expanding access to local television content for viewers across South Sudan.

In a statement released on Tuesday, South One Digital TV said EBC TV can now be watched free of charge, with no subscription required. The move allows households to access the channel using either a standard digital television with an antenna or through the South One decoder, where EBC TV is included alongside other free channels.

The company said the addition of EBC TV reflects its commitment to supporting South Sudanese media and improving public access to information through digital broadcasting. It noted that the channel is available immediately to viewers using compatible equipment.

South One Digital TV expressed appreciation to the Office of the Governor of Central Equatoria State, led by Governor Emmanuel Adil, and the Office of the Minister of Information of Central Equatoria State, Hon Nyarsuk Patrick James, for their support. The company also acknowledged the role played by the EBC administration, the South Sudan Media Authority, and Digital Intelligence Ltd in making the hosting of the channel possible.

“As a proudly South Sudanese digital broadcasting platform, South One remains committed to supporting local media, public access to information, and national development,” the statement said.

The announcement comes as South Sudan continues to expand digital television services, with broadcasters and regulators encouraging wider access to local content and information through free platforms.

South One Digital TV said viewers can visit its offices at Seven Days Roundabout in Atika Building opposite UNOCHA, or at UAP Equatoria Tower in Hai Neem, for further information and assistance. The company also shared contact numbers for the public to make enquiries.
