(ABYEI) – The Chief Executive Officer of Zain South Sudan, accompanied by the company’s Director for Regulatory Affairs, held a high level meeting with Justice Charles Abyei, Chief Administrator of the Abyei Administrative Area.
The discussions held at the end of July focused on expanding and strengthening telecom services in the region to improve connectivity and support local development.
During the meeting, the Zain team provided updates on ongoing efforts to improve service delivery in Abyei, one of South Sudan’s more remote and underserved regions.
According to a company statement, Zain reaffirmed its commitment to providing reliable, innovative, and accessible communication tools to empower communities and contribute to sustainable development in the area.
The telecom operator highlighted that enhanced infrastructure would not only connect people but also support key sectors such as education, healthcare and commerce by ensuring reliable mobile and internet coverage.
Zain South Sudan continues to promote digital transformation across the country, most recently through the introduction of eSIM services for postpaid users. The eSIM feature enables customers to register more than one mobile number or profile and switch seamlessly between lines without needing a physical SIM card.
The company’s support hotline is accessible via 101 or 123 for customer assistance with new eSIM registration or postpaid account inquiries.
In addition to infrastructure and digital services, Zain has also maintained customer engagement through various promotions. One such offer is the “Wonderful Sunday” gift, which gives users 350MB of free data. Customers can redeem this offer every Sunday by dialling *102*11# on their phones.
The Abyei Administrative Area lies at the border between South Sudan and Sudan and has long faced challenges related to infrastructure and access to essential services.Discover more from Access Radio Yei News
