Role Overview
We are seeking local freelance news reporters to cover and report stories from various counties within Central Equatoria State. This is a remote role, open to passionate and reliable individuals who can deliver stories that matter to their communities.
As a local news reporter, you will collect, verify, and report news on issues such as health, education, agriculture, peacebuilding, human rights, and community life. This role is essential for strengthening grassroots journalism and providing relevant content for radio broadcast and online platforms.
Main Responsibilities

| Gather and report local news stories from your county or community. |
| Conduct interviews with local authorities, residents, and experts. |
| Verify information to ensure factual and balanced reporting. |
| Write short news scripts and/or submit recorded audio content. |
| Work closely with the editorial team for story development and approvals. |
| Submit reports on time according to the station’s schedule. |
| Uphold ethical journalism practices and ensure impartiality. |
